BIt of a Link Dump

I mentioned in my last post how the Police cameras in front of the police station weren't working. Turns out 4 years later nothing has changed.

Here's some videos to get me amped up for Saturday's World Cup game, good thing is win or lose we still have a great chance to get to the knock out stages where anything can happen:

Last time we played England they were heavily favored and pre-tournament picks to win the world cup. We brought a rag-tag bunch of semi-pros and beat them 1-0. The international reports didn't believe the score was accurate and reported it as England 10-0 or England 10-1.



This video is a little more recent. Facing improbablr odds the U.S. qualified for the second round by beating Egypt 3-0, and arguably outplayed Italy in a loss (where former American youth player Guiseppe Rossi scored to give Itlay the win). Then came Spain who hadn't lost a game in a record amount of international matches. Whoops. In the final, the U.S. was two up on Brazil until we woke up and said wait a second we are two up on Brazil in the finals. Still the game that got away. Enjoy the video. I see the Americans doing well this world cup with the whole team (minus Charlie Davis) returning after getting all so close last summer.

should both still qualify and both beat Algeria and Slovenia. will go down to goal difference

Hope so. Slovenia scares me. Wish they had tied Algeria. We have a recent history of playing up to our competition and unfortunately down to it as well in world cups.

I walk to the car, try to metaphorically wipe the bird crap off my shoulders and contemplate how my bankroll got severely lightened on the day. I recall the fun hands where I got hurt, such as the one when I raised preflop and got a few callers. Flop was 882. I fire out an almost pot size bet and I get a caller. Turn is another 2. I make the same bet and get a call. River is 6 or so. I check, he checks. I show 99. Dealer is about to hand me the pot as he shows 7-2. He points to the deuce for her benefit and the turned full house. At first I think he's doing it for me rubbing it in a bit. My frustration is evident and I fire him a look, then I realize who is dealing, and see that she still almost swept me the pot. She of the 8 deals per 30 minutes and two mistakes per down. You know who she is. The dealer you are suprised to see every time you play there thinking she'd be fired. Still, I wanted to be angry at the dude as even though he wasn't showing me up he was destroying

Corona Virus Tips

I was asked to share this.   Some useful tips in here. This is exhaustive.  Author is an anonymous Gulf Coast Poker Player who is recovering from a bad virus. -------------------------------------------------------------- You think you have corona virus or you tested positive?   I know just how you feel.   It’s pretty scary, but I got you.   I’ve piled in a ton of info in here to help you get it through it.   I’m coming through more than two weeks of a terrible virus, I don’t have a positive test result but multiple doctors told me I had Covid19 . I’m looking into getting an antibody test to confirm and to possibly donate plasma when they can handle that.    As I dodged a hospital and was able to self quarantine I had what’s called a mild case.   -Bad news my mild case was worse then any illness I’ve ever had.   -Good news most mild cases are not as bad as mine.   -Better news 80% or so of all case are mild cases and don’t require a hospital.   -Even better ne
